Janvier Celebrates Fire Prevention Week

Students and staff at Mary F. Janvier Elementary School recently enjoyed a visit and presentation from area fire department personnel. The children listened as important fire prevention and fire safety messages were communicated, and the children enjoyed seeing the fire trucks and emergency response equipment. Colucci Lumber Yard

7 years ago was the largest fire in Malaga, NJ in 35 years, which occurred at the Colucci Lumber Yard. A 3rd alarm with 2 Structural Task Forces and the Gloucester County tender Task Force were all on the scene. A few out of county companies from Salem, Cumberland and Atlantic also assist.
